Practitioner Spotlight: Dr. Marissa Jeffers, DC, MS

Helping You Get Back to What You Love
If you’ve spent even a few minutes with Dr. Marissa Jeffers, you know one thing quickly — she listens.
Her path into chiropractic started long before graduate school. As a highly active athlete through college, Marissa experienced firsthand what it meant to push the body, injure it, rehab it, and work your way back. That lived experience sparked a deep interest in injury rehabilitation and performance recovery.
By high school, she already knew she wanted to work in healthcare. She just didn’t know exactly how. Chiropractic became the perfect fit — a profession where she could help people recover from injuries, understand their bodies better, and confidently return to the activities that make them feel alive.
More Than “Getting Your Back Cracked”
One thing Dr. Jeffers wishes more people understood?
Chiropractic care is so much more than a quick adjustment.
“At Align, we take time to listen, assess, and build a treatment plan tailored specifically to each person,” she explains. “No two bodies are the same, so no two care plans should be either.”
Her approach is full-body and functional. She looks at how everything works together — not just where the pain is showing up. Whether someone is dealing with a nagging knee issue, a shoulder injury, or chronic back tension, her focus is always on restoring movement and improving overall function.
But just as important as hands-on work, is education.
She especially enjoys working with patients who ask questions — the ones who want to understand the “why” behind their injury. For her, success isn’t just getting someone out of pain. It’s helping them understand what happened and how to prevent it from coming back.
What Matters Most in the Treatment Room
When a new patient walks in, Dr. Jeffers has one primary goal:
She wants them to feel heard.
In a world where healthcare can feel rushed and impersonal, she believes deeply in taking time to listen. Every patient has a story — how the injury started, what they’ve tried, what they’re worried about, what they want to get back to.
Her job is to connect those dots and create a plan that supports both short-term relief and long-term resilience.
Her patients often describe her as approachable, attentive, and thoughtful. She doesn’t rush. She explains. She cares.
And she truly wants people to return to the activities that matter most to them — whether that’s gardening, paddle boarding, strength training, hiking, or simply playing on the floor with their kids.
Life Outside the Clinic
When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Dr. Jeffers outside.
She loves gardening, paddle boarding, cooking, and foraging — very PNW at heart. Staying active herself helps her stay connected to the mindset of the patients she treats. She understands how frustrating it is to be sidelined by pain.
Movement isn’t just something she prescribes — it’s something she lives.
Thinking About Booking?
If you’ve been on the fence about seeing a chiropractor, Dr. Jeffers has simple advice:
Ask questions.
Chiropractic care should feel collaborative, not intimidating. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, start by having a conversation. The goal isn’t just an adjustment — it’s understanding your body better and creating a plan that supports your goals.
If you’re dealing with pain, recovering from an injury, or simply want to move more confidently, scheduling an initial visit is a great first step.
Dr. Jeffers will meet you where you are — and help you get back to where you want to be.
