Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft Tissue Therapy
The soft tissue can’t be ignored. Many people think as chiropractors, Dr. Lockwood and Dr. Jeffers only work with the joints of the spine. While adjusting is a critical piece to restoring health, equally important is restoring proper function of the soft tissue (muscles, ligaments, fascia, tendons etc.). When there is an injury, we address the whole person. You can’t resolve a “joint issue” without addressing the soft tissue, just as you can’t resolve a soft tissue injury without addressing the correlating joints of the spine and extremities. The two are fundamentally linked and both need to be addressed. To address soft tissue injuries and dysfunction, we use functional exercise, Graston Technique, the Erchonia Percussor, pin and stretch, and chiropractic manipulation. Dr. Lockwood and Dr. Jeffers may also recommend massage, Rolfing, or cranial sacral work from a highly trained professional.
Injuries that respond well to soft tissue therapy include (but not limited to):
- Whiplash
- Low back and neck pain
- Repetitive use syndromes (like carpal tunnel syndrome)
- Shoulder injuries and pain
- Tendonitis
- Ankle sprains
- Pulled muscles
- Hip And Knee Pain
