There are many reasons why someone may be experiencing pain and discomfort. Injury, improper biomechanics, stress, overuse, and diet can be major contributors to pain. How you treat these factors can be the critical piece in either being healed or not. With this in mind, it is important to have varied chiropractic services to heal most injuries and prevent new injuries from forming. The following therapies are used by Dr. Lockwood to address the cause of pain and to individualize each patient’s treatment to allow for the greatest healing.
Diversified Technique / Manual Adjusting
The diversified technique uses the traditional chiropractic manual adjustments to help relieve neck and back pain.
The Graston Technique is an instrument-assisted procedure that is used to detect and release fibrous restrictions in the fascia that produce pain. This is a good option for extremity pain such as shin splints, rotator cuff pain and tendonitis.
Dr. Lockwood works extensively on the body’s extremities. These are the joints outside of the spine and include ribs, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, feet, as well as the fingers and toes.

The Erchonia Percussor is an instrument that delivers waves of percussive impulses into muscles, ligaments and joints. With Dr. Lockwood’s expertise, he combines use of the percussor with other practices to help reduce muscle soreness and improve circulation.
Injuries that respond well to soft tissue therapy include (but not limited to) whiplash, repetitive use syndromes (like carpal tunnel syndrome), low back and neck pain, tendonitis, ankle sprains, and pulled muscles.
Addressing soft tissue is an important part in the healing process. When Rolfing or massage will benefit a client, Dr. Lockwood will refer that individual for therapeutic massage and/or Rolfing. We have two highly trained massage practitioners that are on site.
Combining physical therapy with chiropractic services offers a huge benefit and speeds up the healing process. Through these specifically designed exercises, we stretch and strengthen the muscles using movements used in everyday activities.
